One of the most common concerns about Dark Age Wars is "what happens to all my hard work when this round ends?"

Having played the game for a LONG time... I like to think of it as chapters in a book. And the whole story is only written as you play

As I have only been in the game for 2 rounds, my point of view has been like going off to the Crusades. I have to recruit troops for my armies from each of my vassal cities so I can recover various Strongholds.
Much like the Christians tried to capture and keep Jeresalum (sp) from the "evil" Moors. Various leaders from the opposing sides grew to respect their opposites. Some of them tried to learn more about the beliefs of the Moors. They also took back some of the better cleaning habits, science and language. Not counting the stuff they looted.
If they had good trustworthy people back home there was something for them to come home to. Others had scheming scrondrels (sp. ) who managed to fleece them dry.
